It’s kind of weird to hear your presence when you least expect it…I was just trying to find if anybody captured “Stay Gold” at the concert and I came across this. Good looks cameraman for catching that.

I have some tees that have straight up kanji on them, and I have no idea what it means. This is the equivalent of an Asian person doing the same exact shit but the other way.

So, so crucial.

Well, the site is called Booze & Shoes right? For the past two weekends or so, I’ve seriously been getting munted. Tatonka Stouts, Cran & Vods, Fat Tires, Asashis & Kirins…all furiously being taken down in a pretty irresponsible manner. Now this isn’t some coming out post about how I’m an alcoholic, because I’m definitely not. It’s just that it never seems worth it the next day. I always feel like total shit, and when trying to piece together the previous night, the sharp pangs of embarrassment overwhelm me when I realize what I did.

I think I’ll fall back for a month or two…it shouldn’t be that hard. I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again. Healthy lifestyles, ya’ll.

Maybe I’ll start after the beer pong tournament next week.

I decided to blindly PayPal $50 (+$10 or so for shipping) for the seemingly annual HUF Surprise Pack promotion. Pretty much they send you whatever the hell they want for a fee that’s to your liking, and you hope for the best. I took a peek at others’ Surprise Packs on various forums, and they were getting total shit, so I was expecting the worst. I’m not too hot on the white fitted pictured above, because I look really weird with predominately white clothing/accessories, and the snapback is of pretty cheap material. Also, wearing a beanie that has “Crackhead Junkies” written all over it is sorta shaky too. It’s reversible at least, although there’s an embroidered middle finger on it. Curse and the curse I suppose.

I’ll fucks with the DVS Trainers and the three other fitteds though. Thanks Huf!

In another astounding cupcake moment, I’d like to thank my girlfriend for making me some awesome toys. The mustache on that hippo kills me. What didn’t kill me was the weird looks her parents gave me, seeing as I got like 40 thousand toys for Christmas. I must reiterate, I am 25 years old.

I live two blocks away from ‘The Tenderloin’, a notoriously rough part of San Francisco. Technically I live in the ‘Loin, but since my studio also falls within Nob Hill jurisdictions (allegedly), I consider myself a resident of the real estate friendly ‘Tendernob’, if only because it sounds nicer and it sort of fools my Bay Area-vetted friends into visiting me.

I found out on a random scouting mission for food last weekend that I’m also pretty close to Little Saigon, which is also in the Tenderloin. My gastronomical joys however might be putting me at risk for a mugging or a serious ass beating. I’ve only experienced a block or two of the TL, but I’m pretty sure my experiences here have made me re-evaluate my idea of personal safety. I thought going to Wal Mart at 2AM in Sacramento was a risky proposition, but I now think of that trek as a simple walk in the park…ing lot. Walking in the TL is a completely different beast, as I’ve had drug transactions happen right in front of my face, threats of “ass-eating”  by emaciated hobos, and the occasional dodging of syringe caps and contraception. I don’t mind it really though. I live on one of the busiest streets in the city, and I can avoid this rough patch if need be. But I can’t. The banh mi down the street is way too good.
