If I could confront anyone from my past it would probably be the teachers who told me that I would fail. As an adult, it’s easy to see why this is useless and demotivating but I couldn’t see that as a child and took them at their word. In all honesty, I think they would be ashamed if I really confronted them because they must have spoken without thinking. We all say things we regret but the things we say to children have a powerful effect. If I could challenge those teachers I would ask them why they said the things they did.
